We are a small to medium size full-service Accounting firm. We provide one-stop accounting and tax services to clients surrounding the north Greater Toronto Area. The firm has a great reputation for its quality work and excellent client service.

Compensation
Compensation is based on candidate's experiences and qualification.
The firm offers an annual bonus based on the candidate's job performance review.
Overview
  • Seeking a staff accountant to assist with preparing tax returns, bookkeeping, payroll and year end financial statements.
  • The successful candidate will be trained by an experienced chartered accountant.
  • Students who have been trained by Bernier Pierre CPA, Professional Corporation have passed their CPA exams within 2 years after graduation.
  • On average students work 35 hours per week. Overtime is rarely required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Fluent in English. Understanding of Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to follow the working process and procedures
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong initiatives for continuous learning
  • Strong working ethics
  • Computer skills-Word / Excel
  • Accounting software skills - QuickBooks/ Quicken / Caseware /Profile (optional)
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare corporation year end working papers, NTR financial statements (Caseware) and corporation tax returns
  • Bookkeeping
  • Processing payroll
  • Prepare personal tax returns
  • Prepare payroll, T4 and T5
